W204 driver door issue

I got a scanner today and the scanner code for the driver door is 98B101

The output for the central locking motor has a malfunction. there is a general electrical fault.

Will that be the electrical module stuck at open or close and cause the motor can't open or close ?

Please advice !

Today I pull the car in and double check the code for the SRS and other.

The SRS light did not come back. Check Engine light gone (so far).

And sudden the drive door can lock now. First not very smooth. But with the car running

to make sure I don't drain the battery. I press maybe 6 -8 times lock and unlock and seem it working. And I thank you Sir because you told me since I hear the motor sound

might just stuck. I check the door out look's to me there is no places I can run a compress air to blow the dust out. Anyway I keep my car very very clean inside out.

I assume maybe we have rain continue close to 2 weeks and maybe the moisture build

up inside. Since we only drive the car maybe twice a week.

Wow my luck come back. Just need the seat motor fix...lol

I thank you Sir again with great help and share knowledge to us that we are thousands miles away :)

That's great news! In most cases, I still believe in the quality of Mercedes. Just try to stay away from dealer, you might enjoy the MB‘s quality, comfort, and safety with low cost.

Yes I agree. I own 3 BMW (Z4,435xi,M4) , 1 Audi S5 and 2 Mercedes. C350 and one is a coupe The Mercedes look's pretty Solid even is just a C-class.

Thank for your quick reply. How to check the stuck ? Do I have to open up the whole driver side door. Take the actuator out to check ? I try to google the part #2047202732

can't find. Just want to see what it look like

Thanks I have the part coming in from China for the seat motor cable and the tool

to open up the door panel. I clear the SRS and seem to me is pop up because the voltage drop for any reason why ? I don't know.

At the mean time I just lock the door using the key no really a big issue for now.

I can't spend $ 800.00+ for the dealer to fix just the Driver seat power door lock.

The worst I install a after market one and see how it goes.

Yes Sir, I change oil, all filters, spark plugs for all my 2 Mercedes and 3 BMW and flush the brake fluid maybe next year. Since in Calgary here the weather was so dry and I test the drake fluid and there is zero % moisture in the system.

I just trying to learn as much as I can and I like it.

Now I am waiting for that 65MM short cable in and fix the driver seat motor since that cable was broken. If I don't fix it the seat will go sideway because the motor can't guide the rail to move forward or backward. Mercedes ask for $ 3,000 + tax and labour for it. Since they only carry the whole base frame. That's crazy.

Hi Spencer,

If I were you I'd check stuck first. If can not repair, replace the motor. For genuine part, approximately a hundred bucks. Part # 2047202732
