Hello Sir.
How are you ? I have a question since this Nissan don't really tell me do I need Tranmission flush or replace.
It just say inspect. But there is no dipstick to check. I believe the dealership have one that cost over $ 600 to mearsure the fluid level.
I was wonder is that ok if I drain the CVT tranmission thru to open the bolt (under the SUV) or use a fluid extractor suck the old fluid out from the top they put the cap on.
And add the equal amount of new CVT (OEm) back. I heard Nissan say there are total around 7 - 9 L and if you drain there is only 3.5L out
unless I assume I take the whole pan off...etc
By doing what I am trying to do here. Will be pretty safe, And I just assume the fluid inside was at the right level.
Thanks !
Spencer
Hi Spencer,
Sorry for late reply, In my opinion, the transmission fluid must replace periodically. Not only for the ATF, but also the filter replacing and clean the bottom pan. If you don't know how much ATF should be fill in, just measure how much you drain out, and fill in the same amount of the ATF that would be no problem.
